Yes, 'tis Walnut...

The Don gets the Bucket'o'Lard...

I picked this stuff off of one of our sponsors, Beach Tonewood off e-bay... I think there's a sister set on there now...

I'm very excited to have this set! It it my first walnut aquisition. Curly Claro Walnut with sapwood! Yummm...

I just noticed that we changed the system... Hesh's purple mug gave me a start!!!

Thanks guys! I was very happy when the Zoot Fairy (UPS guy) showed up today. The 55$ brokerage fee was a little less amusing...

Hesh, you mean the pic that I use as my wallpaper now?

Sergio, tell Hesh that my shop was so clean that you didn't recognize it in the pics!!!    I'd love to get cracking at it right away, but I'll leave it be for now to let it aclimatize to the shop.

Carlton, I'm not quite sure what to make of it yet... I have a Wenge Baritone on deck... but so far I'm thinking a sister to my florentine I have going now, but with a venetian cutaway...

Hey pal you wouldn't want me to lie now would you?

My bud Al is an extremist:

He cleans his shop more thoroughly than Hesh so he can mess it up even worse than mine!

Now that's killer Walnut. Al the customs brokerage fee is the biggest cross border scam going -- most suppliers will ship via USPS and good old Canada Post will tag you for about $10 on a parcel that size.

I know... It's quite the scam they've got there... Legal too... I think the brokerage was 39$ and then there were the taxes...

Oh well, at least I've got my zoot!
